Epic releases Epic Games Launcher preview on Linux, plans Fortnite support

Epic Games is releasing a preview of its Epic Games Launcher on Linux today and says it aims to bring Fortnite to the platform, The Verge reports. Fortnite isn’t playable on Linux yet, but making it work there is the goal, according to The Verge.

The preview makes the Epic Games Launcher available on Linux for the first time, though The Verge says Fortnite support is not part of today’s build and timing remains unclear. The Verge has not yet detailed supported distributions, performance targets, or how updates will roll out.
