Asus Cetra Open gaming earbuds get first discount

Asus’ Cetra Open wireless gaming earbuds receive their first discount today, The Verge reports. The cut marks a rare price move for open-style buds that deliberately let in ambient sound, a design gamers use to stay aware of surroundings. The Verge’s reviewer calls the Cetra Open among the best they have tested in this niche, highlighting how drivers that sit outside the ear blend game audio with real-world cues.

Unlike sealed in-ears, the Cetra Open aims to balance immersion with awareness, which can help during couch co-op, handheld sessions, or late-night play, according to The Verge, and details on the size of the discount and participating retailers were not immediately shared. Watch for confirmed pricing, retailer links, and whether this opens a wave of back-to-school gaming deals. [Developing. This article will be updated.]
