Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld launches at Best Buy on November 1 for $1,300

Acer's Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld launches in the US at Best Buy on November 1 for $1,300, Engadget reports. The move puts Acer directly into the fast-growing handheld gaming PC market in time for the holiday shopping season after months of speculation about a stateside release. Its pricing places it at the high end versus rivals like Valve's Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go, all of which start at lower list prices.

Engadget notes the US debut comes after uncertainty over whether the device would reach this market. Best Buy will handle sales at launch, with broader channel plans unannounced for now. Watch for the product listing, official specifications, and first reviews to show how the $1,300 price lands, especially on battery life and thermals. [Developing. This article will be updated.]
