Advertising Guidelines
Effective: April 2026 · TechGlobal.news Editorial & Commercial Team
These guidelines govern all advertising that appears on TechGlobal.news. They exist to protect the integrity of our journalism, the trust of our readers, and the reputation of advertisers who choose to work with us.
1. General Principles
TechGlobal.news is an independent editorial publication. Our newsroom operates separately from our commercial team, and no advertising relationship may influence our editorial decisions, including story selection, framing, headlines, or the treatment of any person or company.
Advertising enables us to fund the journalism, technology, and editorial staff that keep this platform running. In exchange, advertisers receive access to our audience within the boundaries set out in this document.
- Advertising must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content at all times.
- Advertisers are fully responsible for the accuracy and legality of their advertisements.
- No advertiser may direct, influence, or review editorial content before publication.
- TechGlobal.news reserves the right to reject or remove any advertisement, at any time, for any reason it deems sufficient.
- Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement of the advertiser, their product, or their views.
2. Display Advertising
Display advertising includes banner units, in-feed placements, sidebar panels, and any other visual advertisement embedded in our pages. The following rules apply to all display advertising:
- All display advertisements must meet our technical specifications for dimensions, file size, and format prior to submission.
- Advertisements must not visually resemble or be easily confused with editorial content. If necessary, we will require the addition of an "Advertisement" label or a visual border to create clear distinction.
- Advertisers must confirm in writing that they hold the right to use any third-party intellectual property included in their creative, including trademarks, images, music, and individual likenesses.
- Our brand name, logo, and trademarks may not be used in any advertisement without prior written approval.
- Animated or auto-playing audio content requires explicit prior approval and is subject to additional placement restrictions.
3. Sponsored Content
Sponsored content refers to editorial material that a third party has paid to support. TechGlobal.news offers two distinct models of sponsorship, governed by different rules.
3a. Sponsor-Supported Editorial
Under this model, a sponsor funds coverage of a topic area, but does not direct the content. Our editorial team produces and publishes the content according to our normal standards. The sponsor may suggest subject areas, but has no right to review, approve, or influence the resulting journalism.
All such content will carry a disclosure: "This coverage was produced independently by TechGlobal.news editorial staff. The sponsor had no role in its creation."
3b. Branded Content
Under this model, a sponsor commissions content that is produced to their direction, for example a company profile, product explainer, or thought-leadership piece. This content is produced by our commercial team, not our newsroom, and must be prominently labeled as follows:
"This content was produced for [Brand Name] by TechGlobal.news Commercial. It is not editorial content and was not produced by our news team."
Branded content may not appear within our news feed without clear visual differentiation. It will be published in a designated section of the site, clearly marked throughout.
4. Labeling Requirements
Clear labeling is non-negotiable. Every advertisement that appears on TechGlobal.news must be identifiable as such, regardless of format. The following labels apply:
| Format | Required Label |
|---|---|
| Display advertisement | "Advertisement" or "Ad" |
| Native / in-feed unit | "Advertisement" prominently at top |
| Sponsored editorial | "Sponsored" + disclosure of sponsor non-involvement in editorial |
| Branded / custom content | "Produced for [Brand] by TechGlobal.news Commercial" |
| Newsletter placement | "Sponsored by [Brand]" |
| Political advertising | "Paid for by [Organisation Name]" |
5. Privacy & Data
TechGlobal.news takes reader privacy seriously. The following rules apply to all advertising activity on our platform:
- Advertisers may not install cookies, pixels, web beacons, or any other tracking technology on our properties without prior written approval from our team.
- Any approved tracking technology must be disclosed to users through our consent management system.
- Where applicable law requires prior user consent for data collection, that consent must be obtained before any data is collected. No mechanism may be used to bypass user consent controls.
- Advertisers may not collect, process, or retain reader data beyond what is necessary for the delivery of the agreed advertising.
- Interest-based or behaviorally targeted advertising must comply with all applicable privacy regulations and industry standards in each market where ads are served.
- Advertisers are prohibited from using data collected on our platform to target users on behalf of competing publications.

Advertisers whose material is rejected or removed will be notified. Where the issue is a correctable one, such as a labeling omission, a technical specification problem, or a claim that can be substantiated, we will offer the opportunity to resubmit.
Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent exclusion from advertising on our platform without refund of amounts already paid.
